Tim

Tim de Vries is the founder of ProGardenTips and a former professional landscaper with hands-on experience in garden construction, maintenance, and hardscaping.

Tim began working for a landscaping company in the Netherlands at 18, maintaining and constructing gardens and public green spaces while also gaining experience with tree work and machinery. At 20, he started his own landscaping business, specializing in private gardens, paving, retaining walls, fencing, pergolas, lawns, planting, and complete garden builds from start to finish.

In 2017, Tim founded ProGardenTips to share the practical knowledge he gained during his years working in the landscaping industry. Growing up and working in the Netherlands—a country with a strong culture of carefully designed and maintained residential gardens—has also shaped his practical approach to garden design, construction, and maintenance.
